Design and facilities of the Italian ship

MSC Preziosa will measure 333m in length (more than a Eiffel tower,324m) and 38m
in width, and have a gross tonnage capacity of 140,000t.

The depth
to the main deck will be 8.29m and the ship will have an overall height of
66.81m.
·
The ship will feature 1,751 cabins with a
capacity of 3,959 passengers and 1,370 crew members.
·
There will be 18 decks, out of which 14 decks
will be meant for passengers.
·
There will be 26 lifts, 21 bars, 12 whirlpools,
four principal restaurants, four swimming pools, two speciality restaurants, a
shopping centre, a casino, an infinity pool, a bowling alley, a sports area
with tennis court, basketball court and mini-soccer ground, fitness centre, a
children's area and a spa.

The cruise ship will also feature a 1,700-seat
theatre, disco rooms and videogame room. Medical facilities on the ship include
a medical centre, two doctors, an x-ray room, laboratory, operation theatre and
pharmacy.
Accommodation of the Fantasia-Class vessel

MSC Yacht Club is a major attraction of MSC
Preziosa, as well as the other three ships in the Fantasia-Class.

It is a luxurious accommodation designed with
the 'ship within a ship' concept to offer privacy to guests.
·
Passengers staying at the 69 MSC Yacht Club
suites will be provided with a private mini bar, a private restaurant,
solarium, hydro-massage pools and an observation lounge fully walled with
glass.
·
The rooms will be furnished with facilities
including a double bed, internet facility, interactive TV, telephone, marble
bathroom, personal safe and many more.

They will
further be provided with 24-hour butler service providing assistance on areas,
such as check-in, luggage and transport.
Eco-friendly features of cruise ship MSC Preziosa
·
MSC Preziosa will be an environmentally-friendly
ship with fewer carbon emissions and energy saving systems.
·
The cruise ship will feature an advanced wastewater treatment system (AWT).
The wastewater from the ship will undergo several treatment stages, such as
pre-treatment, bio-degradation, flocculation, filtration and UV disinfection.
·
The
sludge from the AWT system will then be burned in incinerators, along with the
de-watered food waste.
·
The energy saving systems on the cruise ship
will be implemented with special focus on air conditioning.
·
Energy
saved from staterooms will be about 30%, while energy saved from public areas
will be about 25%.
